For your international exchange you are able to select from a list of various countries, and choose the length of your stay. There is a fee, but the company tries to keep it as low as possible. Berridge Programs- Summer Acting and Film-making Programs in France Develop your unique talents and experience another culture. This program offers a blend of performing arts camp and travel abroad experience. The programs are taught exclusively in English however there are plenty of opportunities for French speakers to practice their language skills both on the program and out in the wider community on field trips and excursions. There are two types of scholarships available this year, a Merit Scholarship in the amount of $1500 and a Financial Need Scholarship for up to 70% off the program tuition. Canada World Youth This program provides a hands-on way of learning employment and cross-cultural communication and adaptation skills. You will spend 3 months in Canada and 3 months in a community in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe or Latin America. Participants must be between 17 and 29.
EF High School Year - Study Abroad This is an opportunity of a lifetime for students, who possess the desire and drive to spend a school year or semester in a foreign country. Students must be between 14-18 years old, and can go to Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Costa Rica, the US, Japan or China.
Encounters with Canada Encounters with Canada is our country’s largest and foremost youth forum! Every week of the school year, 120 to 148 teens from across Canada (ages 14 to 17) come to Ottawa.
Explore "without limits" This is a five-Week French-Language Bursary Program — Most expenses are covered! Are you looking for a spring or summer program to learn French? Do you want to discover another region of Canada and meet new people? Go Explore! Explore is a five-week intensive language-immersion program. You can take the program in the spring or summer, whichever you prefer. Participants in Explore receive a $2,200 bursary (taxable income) that covers tuition fees for the programs, instructional materials, meals and accommodations, workshops, and other mandatory activities. Discover another region of Canada while learning French. Enjoy five weeks of learning and adventure, friendship and discovery!
Explore Universite de Saint-Boniface Consider a 5-week intensive French-immersion program in Winnipeg, tailored to your level of French. You are able to live in residence with other students from across Canada. Participate in programming such as concerts, films, festivals, shows, sports, guided tours, workshops and more!
Forum for Young Canadians Forum is located at Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and includes 600 students (aged 15-19 years) from across Canada to experience first-hand how Canadian government works and the values its promotes. Juno Beach Student Guide Program Why not join the Juno Beach Centre’s Guide Team for an incredible work experience in France? The Centre’s Student Guide Program is a wonderful opportunity for young Canadians to experience life in Normandy, France while sharing Canada’s rich military history with visitors from all over the world. Students need to speak both French and English.
Katimavik Katimavik offers youth between the ages of 17 and 21 and exciting 9 or 7 month journey of self-discovery in 3 regions of Canada. Participants live in a group and volunteer 35 hours a week in non-profit organizations based in the host communities. Start dates are in September for the 9 month program, and January for the 7 month.
Page Program - House of Commons Each year, 40 bilingual students from across Canada are chosen to come live the action on Parliament Hill in Ottawa by assisting Members of Parliament and other House Officials with their work in the House of Commons.
SHAD (June 30 - July 26, 2019) Each year, top-performing Grades 10, 11 and 12 students compete for a place in the month-long program, which is focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) disciplines. SHAD provides the unique opportunity to explore a university campus while still in high school, and experience higher learning in a supportive yet challenging environment. Included are lectures, seminars and workshops, presentations by industry leaders, working in teams to simulate a ‘startup’ project, and recreational activities. Deadline to apply: November 19, 2018
Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada (July 16 - August 4, 2018) The Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada is a three-week exchange designed for Canadians to visit the United States of America. The program brings together students, ages 15 to 18, and adult mentors from across Canada to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership skills, and position youth to make a difference in their communities.
