Loran Award For talented young Canadian based on character, service and leadership potential, who have a min. average of 85%. Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship Program For grade 11 students who possess the character to overcome adversity and succeed in life. Students must demonstrate financial needs ($65,000 or less annual net income per family), be involved in co-curricular and community activities, maintain a minimum average of 70%, and plan to pursue post-secondary studies. 160 awards of $5,000 each 10 awards of $10,000 each and an all-expense paid conference in Washington, DC Deadline: October 25 (or following business day if it falls on a weekend)

TD Scholarship for Indigenous Peoples For all students from First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities, and will be/are attending a full-time, minimum 2-year program. See website for full eligibility criteria. 25 awards of $60,000 over four years Deadline: November 6
TD Scholarship for Community Leadership Students must have a minimum average of 75%. The key criterion is outstanding community leadership! Application requires an essay and several letters of support. 20 awards of $70,000 each: up to $10,000 for tuition per year, $7500 a year toward living expenses, an offer of summer employment during the years of scholarship, and more! Deadline: November 15 (send earlier***) ***all applications and supporting documents MUST be with TD by Nov. 15. No applications will be accepted after deadline regardless of the postmark date.***

Leader of Tomorrow - University of Manitoba Recognizes academic giftedness as well as the leadership potential of high school graduates entering studies at the University of Manitoba. Students must apply for admission to the UofM by the scholarship deadline to be considered for the award. 9 Awards of $16,000 each, distributed over four years of study. Deadline: December 1
Terry Fox Humanitarian Award Applicants must be involved in humanitarian volunteer work. $28,000 over four years Deadline: December 1 of each year.
Burger King Scholars Award The application period begins October 15. You do not need to work at Burger King to qualify for an award. These scholarships are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college, university or vocational/technical school. Based on GPA, work experience, extracurricular activities, and community service. For students with a 75% or higher academic average. Over 1,000 awards of $1,000 - $60,000 each Deadline: December 15
Vimy Pilgrimage Award The Vimy Pilgrimage Award recognizes the actions of young people who demonstrate outstanding service, positive contributions, notable deeds, bravery or leadership. Their acts may have served their peers, schools, communities, province or country. Scholastic achievement is not a criterion for this award. 20 awards: Fully funded week-long educational program in Belgium and France to study Canada's Frist World War contributions! The MB Council for Exceptional Children Scholarship TWO AWARDS for students pursuing a career directly related to working with persons with exceptionalities AND TWO AWARDS for persons with exceptionalities pursing post-secondary. 2 x 2 awards of $750 each Deadline: January 9
STEAM Horizon Awards For students pursuing post-secondary study in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and design, and mathematics (STEAM). The award will be given to individuals who demonstrate inspiring achievement in these fields. Applicants must also have obtained an academic average of at least 80% in the previous year of study and be preparing to enroll in a STEAM field in Canada. 5 awards of $25,000 Deadline: January 15 Schulich Leader Scholarships For students who are entrepreneurially minded and enrolling in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas of study at participating Canadian Universities. Not available for students planning a career in medical research or as a medical practitioner. NPC CAN NOMINATE ONE STUDENT. Manitoba Canola Growers Scholarship Available to students who are from a farm that is a member of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association and are planning to attend post-secondary education in any field within two years of graduating high school. 5 awards of $1,000 each Deadline: March 31 Futures Forward Tuition Waiver Ten colleges and universities in Manitoba offer a limited amount of Tuition Waivers for current and former youth in CFS care. Bursaries may cover the tuition of a certificate, diploma, or undergraduate program. Deadline: March 31
Business Council of Manitoba Aboriginal Education Awards If you are of Aboriginal ancestry, planning to attend a post-secondary institution in Manitoba you may be eligible for this award. $3,000 for university and $2,000 for college students Deadline: March 31
Epilepsy and Seizure Association of MB - Ron Dixon Memorial Scholarship Applicants must have diagnosed epilepsy or seizure disorder that restricts the ability of a person to perform the activities necessary to participate in educational activities. This limitation is expected to remain with the person for life. The applicant must be a resident of Manitoba and a current member in good standing of the Epilepsy and Seizure Association of Manitoba at the time of scholarship application. Membership is $10.00 and applications are available through the office. $500 Deadline: March 31
April
Manitoba Canola Grower Those eligible for a scholarship must live on, work for or have guardians that work for a farm that is a member of Manitoba Canola Growers Association. The scholarship must be used in the two years following high school graduation. 5 awards of $1,000 each Deadline: April 1
Centennial Entrance Scholarship Will be awarded to a Manitoba high school student who plans to enter the two-year diploma or four-year degree program at the University of Manitoba. Click here for more U of M Agriculture and Food Sciences scholarships. 11 Awards of $2000 each Deadline: April 8
Community Leaders - In support of students who demonstrate a strong community commitment through leadership, volunteerism, community involvement or other activities that benefit their community.
Indigenous Legacy - In support of Indigenous students (First Nation, Métis, Inuit or Non Status) pursuing any full-time, post-secondary program at a registered education institute.
Trades - In support of students who are enrolled in a full-time, post-secondary trades program that is relevant to a career in the energy industry.

myBlueprint & Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation Bursary CSTF's bursaries are intended for students who can demonstrate financial need and character. Mark Dickof Memorial Scholarship Award The award is open to any student or team of students (between the ages of 14 and 18) who can demonstrate positive leadership in addressing mental health and wellbeing through action or raising awareness concerning the de-stigmatization of mental health and/or the promotion of mental wellbeing. $250 (specifically for a rural/northern student) Deadline: May 13

Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg Community Leadership Award To assist a Manitoban entering or attending post-secondary school or an apprenticeship program who has shown exemplary leadership skills, keen interest in community involvement and exceptional citizenship. $1,000 Deadline: 2nd Friday in May
Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg Trade Bursary To assist an individual who is pursuing a career in any trade. The bursary is administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. and may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aids in conjunction with their post-secondary education or apprenticeship training in any trade career. $1,000 Deadline: 2nd Friday in May
Motor Vehicle Industry of Manitoba Scholarship This scholarship is awarded annually to assist individuals who are pursuing their Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Service, Collision Repair or Collision Refinishing Technician. Scholarships may be awarded to students at secondary and post-secondary levels. The scholarship may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aides in conjunction with their secondary and post-secondary education. $500-$1000 Deadline: End of business second Friday of May

2024 Garden Valley Teachers' Association Education Awards Application This scholarship of $1500 is open to all graduating NPC students who are planning to pursue post-secondary studies in various areas of Education, which include the following professions: Teacher, RRTVA Teacher, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, Speech-Language Pathologist, or Occupational Therapist. Open to students beginning post-secondary education in 2024-2025 or 2025-2026. One $1,500 scholarship for an NPC student Deadline: May 17, 2024 by 3:15 p.m.
Rainbow Stage Scholarships For students pursuing singing, dancing, acting, set design, lighting and sound, management or production, music, etc. Applicants must be prepared to appear before the committee for a brief interview and/or performance. 4 awards of $750 each Deadline: May 18

Winkler Co-op Scholarship Program Recognition will be awarded to 5 students across our trading area pursuing post-secondary education, all who can demonstrate the value of our local community along with our other core values (Integrity, Excellence, and Sustainability). Folklorama & The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba: The Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship for Excellence For students who demonstrate an active involvement in preserving cultural heritage through volunteer work, employment or contributions to a cultural activity in the general community. Applicants must be attending, or planning to attend post-secondary, between the ages of 17-25, and be a resident of Manitoba for at least 6 months. Major Jay Fox Memorial Scholarship The Major Jay Fox Memorial scholarship has been developed by the Manitoba Outstanding Young Farmers in honour of Jay and the contribution that he made to agriculture in Canada. An annual scholarship will be presented to recognize a student continuing in the field of agriculture that has made a significant difference in their communities. $1,000 Deadline: May 31
Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship For students planning to enroll at a Canadian post‑secondary institution (degree or diploma) in an agriculture, food science or culinary program. Program must be a minimum of two-year duration. 65 awards of $1,500 each Deadline: June 4 Premier's Healthy Living Scholarship for Youth NPC can nominate one student. Please see Guidance by June 7 with your completed application if you want to be considered for nomination. Students must be registered in Grade 12, and are set to graduate in the year in which the nomination is made and are admitted to, and register full-time in the first year of study in any faculty of school at the University of Manitoba. Qualifying students will have achieved a minimum entering average of 75% on those courses used for admission. CLAC Scholarships For CLAC members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren who are attending/will be attending an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. Applicants may also be registered/will be registered in an apprenticeship program (provided the post-secondary program is accredited) in Canada, and can be enrolled in either full-time or part-time studies. Awards of $1,500 each Deadline: June 15
RRC Teacher Education Entrance Award Preference given to students entering the 5-year Education degree at Red River College for Industrial Art and Technology, Business and Technology, or Technical Vocational streams. 2 awards of $600 each Deadline: June 15
AIA & the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UofAF) Scholarship Program While all students are encouraged to apply, priority will be given to those pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket. As a bonus, a matching grant is awarded to scholarship recipients who become technicians in the automotive aftermarket. Awards of $1,000 Deadline: June 15
The Keith Cooper Scholarship For young people who have been cared for by any of the four Manitoba Child and Family Services Authorities. Recipients may apply for the scholarship for an additional three years so that a student might complete a four-year university, technical or vocational program. One or more totaling $7,500 each Deadline: June 19

Manitoba Trucking Association Scholastic Awards Scholarships for the dependants of employees of member companies. To be used for first year tuition assistance. 2 awards of $500 each 3 awards of $1,000 each Deadline: July 16 Manitoba Hydro Trio Awards For Indigenous students who have completed Grade 12 Applied or Pre-Calculus Math, ELA, and Physics. Submit an application form, cover letter (education goals, community involvement, and school involvement), resume, transcript, and proof of Indigenous Ancestry. $500 Deadline: July 15
Canadian Blood Services - Assignment Saving Lives Bursary Program To become eligible for bursaries, students are challenged to recruit potential blood donors between May 29th 2017 and September 2nd 2017. This Contest is open to all residents of Manitoba, who are 16 years of age or older who: are presently enrolled in a secondary school in Canada or in a post-secondary education program in Canada; and, fully complete, and submit the Canadian Blood Services Contest Registration form. Deadline: July 31

Manitoba Beef Producers Scholarship For Manitoba Beef Producers members, or their children, attending a university, college, other post-secondary institution or pursuing trades training. Preference will be given to those students pursuing a field of study related to agriculture, those acquiring a skilled trade, or pursuing a career that would be beneficial to the rural economy. Six scholarships of $500 each Deadline: November 4
Apprentice Employment Insurance (EI) As an apprentice, you may be eligible to receive employment income support from Service Canada while attending apprenticeship technical/in-school training.
Apprenticeship Incentive & Completion Grants (AIG & ACG) A $1,000 taxable cash grant available to apprentices registered in one of the designated Red Seal trades who complete their first or second year/level of an apprenticeship program in a designated Red Seal trade, to a maximum of $2,000. A $2,000 (up to $4,000) taxable cash grant available to apprentices who complete their apprenticeship program and receive their journeyperson certificate in a designated Red Seal.
